The picture below shows the type of duck and goose hunting Illinois is famous for. Our migrant flocks of Canada geese and variety of ducks stage in this area for weeks at a time. Our club features hundreds of acres of harvested grain fields which attract thousands of Canada geese and ducks.

Why Goose Hunt in Illinois?

Illinois has the best Canada goose hunting in the Mississippi Flyway. The area surrounding Mazonia Hunt Club is the undisputed goose hunting mecca for the Illinois Central Zone. When the weather drives the geese south, Mazonia Hunt Club becomes the chosen feeding grounds and hunters score bag limits consistently. For all information on season dates and bag limits visit Illinois Season Dates and Bag Limits.

Since weather is the greatest factor in migration we typically advise our clients that the major migrations normally occur in late November on. Traditionally the last two weeks of December and first two weeks of January have been the prime dates, and thus you must book early. There is always a tremendous opportunity to goose hunt in the Illinois Central Quota Zone and enjoy a hunt of a lifetime! This year we will have a 2 goose per day limit and anticipate we will go the full season! (Complete details are available on our links below).

Our club features heated buried and above ground blinds which can comfortably accommodate up to five goose hunters and their gear. We also go mobile and hunt the hot fields out of spacious layout blinds. Hunt over some of the finest goose and duck decoys available. Your hunt will be with a professional goose guide that will make every effort to assure your success in the field.
